DimensionU Announces Winners of 2018 Hawai'i Math Games Tournament

GEAR UP students that are part of the University of Hawai`i-West Oahu GEAR UP program recently participated in the DimensionU, Inc. 2018 Hawaii Math Games Competition. The gaming platform combines first person, multiplayer video gaming with mathematics to challenge and engage students.

$2.7M grant helps prepare Nanakuli and Waianae students for college

The University of Hawaii-West Oahu (UHWO) is looking forward to continuing their work with Nanakuli and Waianae students through their new GEAR UP award. UHWO was awarded a 2011 GEAR UP grant, and the graduating cohort had a record 20 valedictorians and enrollment rates into UHWO doubled in the fall of 2017.
