Complete the NCCEP APR Advocacy Information Survey by April 30!

Directors: the information we obtain when you complete the NCCEP Advocacy Information Survey is critical to our advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill. As you are completing your Annual Performance Report (APR) due to the U.S. Department of Education (ED) by April 15, take 10-15 minutes to complete the survey. Thank you for all you do!

As you know, each GEAR UP grant must submit an Annual Performance Report (APR) to the U.S. Department of Education (ED), showing efforts made towards GEAR UP goals and missions. Despite our best efforts throughout the years, obtaining up-to-date facts and figures on our GEAR UP programs from ED remains a challenge. Region 1 GEAR UP Director, Melissa Lopez, shares her experience submitting nomination for the 2019 NCCEP/GEAR UP Annual Conference Awards - nominations now being accepted!

Funded since 1999, Region One ESC has been the recipient of five GEAR UP Partnership grants from the United States Department of Education. Through this funding, GEAR UP has impacted over 30,000 students and their families in Deep South Texas. The primary goal of GEAR UP is to increase the number of targeted students who enter and succeed in post-secondary environments. This goal is supported by a plan that encompasses academic systemic reform.
