The national GEAR UP convenings - the Capacity-Building Workshop in February and the Annual Conference in July - are an opportunity for GEAR UP professionals from across the country to have critical discussions, share information, and brainstorm ideas about how to better serve students. 

Time and again, you tell us in the post-event survey that networking opportunities are some of the most beneficial elements of the events. We strive to continue to provide varied networking options so you can maximize your time with peers.

Here are some of the networking opportunities at next February's Capacity-Building Workshop:

• GEAR UP Affinity Groups - for a more structured discussion around a specific topic, join colleagues Monday afternoon to discuss the topic of your choice
• GEAR UP Team Debrief - talk to your team about what you've learned and want to implement during Tuesday afternoon timeslot
• Learning Labs - two regular, engaging workshops will be offered Wednesday morning, along with learning labs that feature facilitated conversations based on your GEAR UP role
• Networking Breaks - each morning and afternoon, grab a coffee, check out the exhibitor corridor, and stay for the raffle to meet and greet each other
• Networking Meals - breakfast and lunch each day are an opportunity to sit and talk with colleagues from across the country
