Shiprock students celebrate national college bound initiative

GEAR UP students at two high schools that are part of GEAR UP New Mexico recently kicked off the school year with an assembly and t-shirts that said, “College ready, career bound.” Last year, 70% of seniors at one of the schools applied to two or more colleges, a steady increase from years prior. GEAR UP New Mexico will continue to assist even more students in achieving their goals.
