Grant provides student enrichment

GEAR UP teachers from Corsicana, Mexia, Rice, and Kerens Middle Schools in Texas participated in professional development at a training called Ready, Set, Drone! at Corsicana Middle School Jan. 24-25. The teachers were given drones to use in their upcoming STEM classes to enhance science classroom activities. According to the article, "Students will learn how to build, program, and fly the drones, as well as learn about air traffic control and other jobs associated with drone technology." Students will not only learn new STEM technology, but they will also be introduced to related career paths!
