ASU awarded $8.7M grant to improve college-going outcomes
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced that Access ASU and the Be A Leader Foundation have been awarded an $8.7 million five-year grant to increase the number of Arizona students who enroll and succeed in higher education. More about the foundation’s work and a description of the other grantees can be found in this NSI Fact Sheet. The grant will fund the creation of the Arizona Network for School Improvement which will help Arizona State University (ASU) increase the capacity of 23 high schools across three districts: Mesa Public Schools, Phoenix Union, and Tolleson Union. The network will leverage a continuous improvement data-driven approach to improve critical student outcome across the three districts with the ultimate aim of increasing well-matched postsecondary enrollment rates.
